Founded in 1986. Software Creations has established a reputation for leading the field in technology for spas and salons. Targeting the top 20% of the industry, SCI's Finger Tip Access (FTA) already serves the better known million dollar plus spas and salons. Customers such as Frédéric Fekkai, Depasquale, Maximus, Louis Licari, Warren Tricomi, and a myriad of others, not only use Software Creations applications, they helped SCI improve them over the past decade. Many of our current features started out as requests from some of the top spas and salons in the industry. They have adopted it and recognize our applications as an integral part of their business and extension of their thinking.

"By 2015 desktop operating systems will be largely irrelevant. The Web will be the only OS worth coding for. It won't matter what device you use, as long as it runs on the Web OS. You will reach the same distributed computer whether you log on via phone, PDA, laptop or HDTV."

This bold move to web based puts Software Creations ahead for some years to come and 2015 is here today for SCI clients. Our competitors will have to re-write to catch up and newcomers won't have the depth that nineteen years of developing brings to functionality.

SCI has been a part of the education process for spas and salons for many years. Software Creations is asked to speak frequently at business conferences such as ICSA and ISPA and often writes articles for the trades. Recently, we have authored articles for on line newsletters, salondaily.com (Wella) and behindthechair.com. Catherine Renaud our president participated in writing the IT section for the popular industry book "Fast Forward" by Neil Ducoff.

The 2005 Software Creations User Group Conference was held at South Beach in June. Topics varied from technology best practices to retail best practices. The Software Creations team knows that our company's success depends on industry success. Our customers talk to each other about their experiences and learn together how to continue to profitably grow their businesses. We've extended this User Group to the first VUG, virtual user group so that the learning and growth never end.

About Our Management Team
Co-founders Bob and Catherine Renaud combine years of experience each bringing complimentary skills to the management team.

Catherine Renaud, President
Catherine's prior experience is in management, sales, and marketing selling programming and computer hardware to large clients such as JC Penney, the U.S. Army, Nations Bank and Coca Cola. In the early years of Software Creations, she introduced SCI software focusing on targeted client database marketing into the cosmetic industry in large department stores across the country. Her clients included Revlon, Chanel, Clarins, and Prescriptives. She worked closely with the Prescriptives controller to develop a sell-through inventory reporting system that is still used in the company's current Virtual Spa and Salon software suite. Catherine has been a part of the education process for spas and salons for many years. She is asked to speak frequently at business conferences and often writes articles for the trades.

Bob Renaud, Chief Technology Officer
Bob has built software systems for over 35 years. He developed software for Banks and Government and the systems are still in use today. He is the originator of FTA GOLD. What makes our team unique is the best of both worlds, Bob brings years of experience with in-depth business applications programming and the younger IT professionals bring creative ideas and leading edge technology to SCI. The combination is powerful and together they produced a new product line written in the new World Standard, HTML.

Susan McBride
Vice President of Customer Service
Susan has been with the company since inception. She is a consultant to salons for multi-site locations on projects such as central booking. She manages the training and support staff and works directly with our programming staff to implement new enhancements.

She hires support people who have a software and salon/spa background so that when a client needs assistance her team speaks the same language. As the middle layer, she and her team listen to the needs of the clients and communicate those needs to the programming team. As a software application expert, she serves as the second level to support when needed and as project leader for large-scale software projects.

About Our Staff

Account Managers
Understanding the industry and how spas and salons can work well, the account managers are on top of it. Take Isabel who used to be the Spa Director at DePasquale in New Jersey. She understands the processes of the spa and salon on a daily and managerial level. She helps the customers choose just the right modules to fit the customer's goals for now and for the future.

Support and Training Staff
Where account managers leave off, the support and training staff take over. They gently guide the new user through the steps to become automation successful. Many times the customers have no IT staff or background. Our staff understands that because they themselves have lived it. Take Jen who was the manager at John Paul¹s, a multi-store spa and salon in Albany, New York. She understands what everyone wants and needs at all levels because she helped implement SCI software for John Paul.

Support staff maintains a 7 x 24 after hours emergency support number and up to fifteen minutes of free training on any subject at no charge.

At all levels, SCI is available for our clients.
