Industry Leader and Visionary

Richard Calcasola at Intercoiffure 2005

Richard Calcasola, owner of Maximus Spa and Salons in Long Island and SOHO New York, and Software Creations customer since 1996, was recently named Director of Marketing for Intercoifure. He presented the finale for Intercoiffure's annual Atelier, held in New York at the Waldorf Astoria Oct. 8-10, 2005. As part of an international creative team charged with forecasting hair trends, Calcasola presented a photo shoot of hair fashions.

Richard told the packed house, "Hair is sexy, short medium or long, curly, wavy or straight. It's not about length it's about attitude." His goal is to hear comments that compliment his clients' hair rather than their haircuts. He emphasized the importance of the whole package, color, cut and conditioning, he encouraged women to, "Have fun and be daring." When he ended his runway finale with a boisterous, "We're back!" no one doubted it. The energy in the room was an inspirational end to a great, memorable event.

"Richard Calcasola finale was electrifying. Accompanied by hip music, and a few slick dance moves, he led the audience through an entertaining and inspiring presentation of the different types of women in today's world," said Catherine Renaud, president of Software Creations, one of the elite Intercoiffure's newest members.
