Paperless Environment

A 2015 spa and salon today

A busy executive client that we will call Sally books her own color and massage on-line. The day before Sally's appointment, she receives a reminder from an automated system that uses real voices from professional actors with friendly options on her home phone. She hates interruptions at work. The day arrives and Sally checks herself in on a kiosk and adds a candle to her bill. Sally knows the drill and heads to changing. Sally doesn't know it but her name turned green when she checked in and a pager vibrated in the colorist's (John) pocket.

As Sally heads for changing, Mary, John's assistant, greets her and asks if she would like her usual beverage. She has it ready for Sally as she leaves the changing room. John greets her and applies her color. Afterwards, Mary escorts Sally to Massage where Daniel takes it from there.

Sally doesn't know it but Daniel received a text mail from John that Sally is very stressed and needs special attention today. Next, he adds the color shampoo and conditioner he used today to her ticket using his PDA.

Daniel escorts Sally to changing where she slips into a fluffy white robe and slippers. "I have a special complimentary treat for you today. I want you to take five and relax in our hydrotherapy tub before your massage." In the meantime, Daniel uses his PDA to add the name of the oil and crèmes he prepared to Sally's ticket.

After an hour of deep tissue massage in a room that smells of lavender oil and aromatherapy scented candles with relaxing music in the background and not a sound being heard outside the room, Sally relaxes for an extra 15 minutes with a cucumber eye treatment. She is quietly escorted to changing where she continues to cool down with iced water and lemon. She dresses and has her makeup refreshed as she heads for the café where she sips chamomile tea compliments of Daniel.

Mihaila greets Sally at front reception and reviews with her the recommendations from John and Daniel and why these products will keep that color shining longer as the candles, oil and crèmes soothe her soul. Sally is feeling very relaxed and approves all of the recommended products. Check out already knows and her retail bag of goodies are on the desk. Sally pays with a gift card and an American Express. Sally asks that 20% gratuity go to Daniel and John and $10.00 to John's assistant. Her ticket with the gratuity added is signed electronically and the ticket is placed in the bag. Before she leaves, she steps over to the kiosk and reviews her next appointment time and adds a pedicure to the next visit.
